Both his MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and BSc (Hons) in Mathematics with Statistics, were completed at the University of Portsmouth. His studies developed a wide range of skills including Operational Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Statistics.

A graduate, with a degree in Civil Engineering, and a former RN Warfare Officer, specialising in above water and anti-air warfare, David has spent 20 years in Operational Analysis, undertaking tasks for a variety of clients including MOD Centre, Defence Equipment and Support, DSTL, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Lockheed Martin.



James Doherty

James graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Management. A capable data analyst with accomplished skills in the Microsoft Office suite in particular Excel and Project. James joined Polaris at the end of August 2016 after spending 18 months working on the MCOCs programme at Army Headquarters, Andover. James provided support to the programme as a data analyst exploiting the cost models at his disposal to prepare reports to Joint Helicopter Command and for the Army Training Review.



Nick Rose

Nick joined Polaris in October 2016 with four years’ experience of Defence modelling and analysis. He has a mix of OA and cost modelling experience, with a strong background in spreadsheet model development (scoping, design, implementation, and V&V). He has experience of WLC modelling in the maritime domain, and qualitative studies and modelling of energy and logistics.



Helen Richardson

Having joined Polaris in December 2016, Helen is at the heart of our Consultancy business with the responsibility for managing and coordinating team activities and ensuring compliance to all relevant standards.  She has wide experience within Project Management and Project Office Support.  With over 20+ years of experience in the Data Storage IT industry, gaining qualifications in Purchasing (CIPS) and Project Management (APMP).



Mike Tulip

Mike joined Polaris in 2017, as a Managing Consultant and has 20 years’ experience in defence analysis and consultancy. He has a proven track record in growing and sustaining new analytical business areas, and delivering large analysis contracts.

In particular, he won and led the Analysis Support Construct (ASC), a multi-million-pound framework contract set up by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to service the demand for analysis across all UK defence & security domains.



 Andy Pugh

Andy has significant experience providing technical support on UK and overseas projects, mainly in the defence sector. In defence, he has implemented his cost analysis and risk management knowledge across a variety of domains and on several high profile projects. Andy is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, which recognises his industry experience and leadership.
