Polaris Consulting Limited are delighted to announce that three Polaris led projects in excess of £250,000 have been successfully funded as part of the MOD Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) Autonomy and Big Data for Defence competition. Two of the projects are designed to exploit big data analysis methods to improve maritime autonomous vehicle decision making. The third project will apply novel machine learning techniques to support intelligence analysis processing. Polaris are supported by a local Solent consortium consisting of ASV Ltd, BMT ARGOSS and the University of Portsmouth’s cross-faculty Centre for Operational Research and Logistics (CORL), which brings together the Department of Mathematics, the Institute of Industrial Research (IIR), and the Business School.
